It looked like Maryland QB Caleb Henderson was going to win the Terrapins’ starting job, but a broken foot ended all thoughts of that.

He tried to make a comeback during the season, but then suffered an elbow injury that ended his campaign for good.

Now, it appears as if Henderson is being forced to give up his football career because of those injuries. However, according to reports (and confirmed by Henderson, as you can see below), he’ll remain with the team in an off-field role:

It’s always sad when a player’s career is cut short for circumstances beyond his control, but hopefully he finds success in his new role with team.
