The Terrapins are not fooling around in their season opener!

Maryland is entering its first season under head coach Mike Locksley, and the first half has produced some high-flying results. The offense has been impressive while the defense has kept Howard locked down throughout.

The big star at halftime is quarterback Josh Jackson. The Virginia Tech transfer won the starting job in fall camp and is making the most of his first start with the Terrapins. He has completed 15 of 24 passes for 245 yards and 4 TDs. Jackson has yet to turn the ball over.

Anthony McFarland Jr. also has two touchdowns on the ground while Dontay Demus Jr. has been a favorite target in the air. Demus has three catches for 100 yards and two scores.

Obviously, Maryland’s competition will get much stiffer moving forward. But it is good to see the Terrapins acing the first game of Locksley’s tenure.
