Maryland is not having a great week on the offensive side of the ball.

As the Terrapins head into Week 8, the team continues to deal with a number of injuries on the offensive side of the ball. Unfortunately, a young tight end is also entering the transfer portal.

Tyler Devera, a freshman tight end out of Wayne, New Jersey, announced on Twitter that he is now in the transfer portal. No other updates were given at that time.

Devera was a three-star TE during the 2019 class. He originally committed to Maryland over offers from Colorado, Louisville, and Rutgers, among others.

It will be interesting to see where Devera winds up moving forward. Either way, it is not great to see a member of Mike Locksley’s first recruiting class already in the portal.
