Maryland is heading to the postseason and a third straight bowl game under Mike Locksley. Sunday evening, the Terrapins officially learned their destination.

Maryland will head to Nashville for the TransPerfect Music City Bowl this postseason with an SEC matchup against Auburn. That game is set for Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. ET with an ABC broadcast.

Maryland and Auburn have just 3 all-time meetings on the football field, and the two sides have not faced off since the 1980s. The Tigers are 2-1 in the head-to-head series.

Maryland enters the postseason with a 7-5 overall record this season, and the Terrapins have produced back-to-back wins in bowl season. A win over Auburn would give the program its longest winning streak in the postseason since winning 3 straight bowl games from 2002-06 under Ralph Friedgen.

We’ll see if the Terrapins can secure a signature win over an SEC program to wrap up 2023.
