Maryland has put out an ice-cold tweet after its blowout win in the Pinstripe Bowl against Virginia Tech.

The game was never close as Maryland raced out to a 21-3 lead and then eventually won, 54-10. After the game, Maryland’s Twitter account for football posted a tweet with its logo across the entire state of Virginia.

It was an offensive explosion for the Terps as quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa finished with 265 yards through the air with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also completed 20-of-24 passes.

The run game also gave the Hokies’ defense fits. 3 different Maryland players had rushing touchdowns and all three averaged 5 or more yards a carry.

This is Maryland’s first season where it will finish above .500 since 2014. This was also the school’s first bowl win since 2010 when it beat East Carolina in the Military Bowl.

For Virginia Tech, a full rebuild is now underway as new head coach Brent Pry has a long road ahead of him.
