PHOTO: Increased security makes Maryland crowd look empty at kickoff
Maryland jumped out to a 21-3 lead on senior day.
It’s too bad there weren’t many people there to see it.
Byrd Stadium had quite the weak showing for the start of Saturday’s game against Indiana. This was a game-time shot from Jeff Ermann:
Gotta feel for Maryland's seniors. Been a long season and no one deserves to come out to this on senior day. pic.twitter.com/s9vhdAs6Zg

Ok, so there was actually an increased security at Byrd Stadium. There were more people than what it looked like at kickoff. They filed in late after the start of Saturday’s game.
Still hardly a sellout, but the stands have filled in a bit. Increased security at the gates slowed entrance. pic.twitter.com/gYDm0zfu0E

Still, it’ll be interesting to hear what the announced attendance is for this one.
