Maryland senior WR DJ Turner receives DUI charges
It’s now clear why Maryland senior wide receiver DJ Turner didn’t play Friday night against Penn State. Turner was charged with a DUI this past week according to Washington Post reporter Emily Giambalvo.
Per @EmilyGiam, Maryland senior wide receiver DJ Turner was charged with DUI last week.
Would explain why he didn't play in Maryland's 59-0 loss to Penn State Friday.
In his postgame press conference, Mike Locksley said, "DJ has to focus on the non-football things right now."

Turner entered this week fourth on the team in receiving with four catches for 84 yards this season. Last year, he posted 13 receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown.
Maryland missed Turner on Friday night, but he wouldn’t have made all that much of a difference, as Penn State crushed the Terrapins, 59-0. Maryland will attempt to regroup in its next two games, both of which are on the road, against Rutgers and Purdue.
It’s unclear when Turner may return to the field this season.
