Maryland football may have found its unknown, breakout star for 2018.
And, it didn’t take long. Just 7 minutes into his career as a member of the Terrapins, freshman WR Jeshaun Jones ran for and caught a touchdown in his first two touches.
Then, mid-way through the second quarter against Texas, he also threw a TD pass — putting himself in a unique category.
Maryland's Jeshaun Jones already has a passing, rushing and receiving touchdown vs Texas. The only player to score all 3 ways in a half last season was Kenny Hill vs West Virginia.
This is Jones' 1st career game.

Aside from Kenny Hill, current NFL QBs Marcus Mariota and Dak Prescott — who both were outstanding in college football at Oregon and Mississippi State, respectively — were mentioned as accomplishing the feat as well.
As ESPN Stats & Info said on Twitter, this has all happened in Jones’ first game. The 6-foot-1, 176-pound WR was ranked by the 247Sports Composite Rankings as the No. 751 player overall in the Class of 2018.
So much for that.
