Maryland's Derwin Gray to return for senior season
Maryland offensive lineman Derwin Gray will delay his dream of playing in the NFL and will return for his final season in College Park. He made his announcement via Twitter on Monday.
Gray played in 11 games for the Terrapins this season.
“After many sleepless nights and countless conversations with my family and coaches, I have decided to hold off on my NFL dreams for one more year and return to the University of Maryland for my fifth and final season,” he wrote. “I am honored and beyond blessed to have the opportunity to make such a difficult decision.”

In his career at Maryland, Gray has played in 26 games and has been a key cog along the Terrapins’ offensive line. He helped pave the way for an offense that averaged over 160 rushing yards per game in 2017, ranking eighth in the B1G.
A former four-star offensive tackle, Gray will have an opportunity to improve his draft stock by sticking around College Park for one final season.
