Mike Locksley accepts responsibility following dreadful loss to Northwestern
Mike Locksley held himself accountable after a tough loss to Northwestern on Saturday.
The Terrapins had a solid start to the season, but now they’ve lost 3 straight and Saturday’s loss to Northwestern was just another tough blow.
Maryland brought the game within a touchdown late and had the chance to either tie the game or take the lead with less than 2 minutes left, but an interception from Taulia Tagovailoa ended their chances of a comeback.
Locksley knows that his team is more than capable of winning games like Saturday’s, it’s just a matter of being better and figuring it out.
“Players have to play better,” Locksley said in his postgame press conference. “Coaches have to coach better.”
Now Maryland is looking to turn things around to try and pick up some key wins before the season is over, but things just get tougher next week as the Terrapins take on Penn State.
