MJ Morris, NC State transfer QB, announces B1G commitment
MJ Morris made things official with Maryland on Wednesday as a transfer commit.
Morris spent the last 2 seasons with NC State. He played in 9 games during that time, including 4 starts in 2023, filling in for Brennan Armstrong in Raleigh. Morris accounted for 1,367 yards passing and 17 total touchdowns with the Wolfpack from 2022-2023.
In 2023, Morris stepped away from the Wolfpack to take a redshirt. He called it a decision to extend his eligibility.
Morris was a former 4-star QB out of Carollton (Ga.) High School. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 25 QB in the 2022 class. The Terrapins also have 3-star QB Khristian Martin verbally pledged in the 2024 class.

Taulia Tagovailoa recently wrapped up his redshirt senior season at Maryland, so Maryland coach Mike Locksley turned to the portal again. Tagovailoa has been the starter at Maryland since 2021, appearing in 41 games for the Terps.
Mike Locksley led Maryland to a 7-5 record to end the regular season. The Terps head to the Music City Bowl to face Auburn on Dec. 30. Kickoff will be at 2 p.m. ET on ABC.
