Avery has great length and a very quick first step from the outside which is what interested Maryland this summer. In July, he was committed to Ole Miss but in the last weeks and months, the Terrapins gained a lot of momentum.
Avery will join two other Edges who have already signed with Maryland. Dylan Gooden and Rico Walker, both 4-stars, are also part of this class.
