Yannick Ngakoue is cashing in on a monster year.

The Maryland defensive end announced via Twitter that he’ll be leaving College Park and entering the NFL draft.

Ngakoue set the program record for sacks in a season with 13.5. The 6-2, 255-pound junior earned honorable mention All-B1G honors last year, and will likely earn more conference accolades this year.

He finished the regular season ranked only behind Penn State’s Carl Nassib in sacks and finished with 38 tackles in 12 games.

Ngakoue figures to be one of the top defensive end prospects in the 2016 NFL draft. He figures to be more of a pure pass-rusher with the chance to turn himself into a three-down player.

Barring injury, it would be a surprise to see Ngakoue slip past the first three rounds.
