Nick Cross punctuates Maryland's dominant Pinstripe Bowl performance with strip sack resulting in scoop-and-score
It’s been anything but difficult for Maryland in the Pinstripe Bowl against Virginia Tech.
The Terps have turned in a dominant performance against the Hokies and are on pace to win by 30+ points. Coming into this contest, they weren’t even favored by 5 points.
They was already in control when it was up 41-10, but the Terps then decided they weren’t done just yet. Nick Cross came up with a huge hit on Connor Blumrick and the ball came loose in the process.
Greg Rose was then able to pick it up and take it to the house which made it 47-10. The Hokies ended up blocking the extra point.
Maryland is making a statement in its final game of the season en route to its first season with a winning record since 2014.

With this win, Maryland will finish 7-6 for the season as this has been Mike Locksley’s best coaching job yet. this is the first time the Terps have made a bowl game since 2016 and the first time they’ll have won 1 since 2010.
The Hokies, meanwhile, will finish their season at 6-7.
