North Carolina OL decommits from Maryland day after explosive ESPN reports
The day after two explosive ESPN reports on Maryland football resulting in multiple staffers being put on administrative leave, the Terrapins have lost a 2019 commitment.
Parker Moorer, a 3-star OT/DE out of Charlotte, North Carolina, announced he was decommitting from Maryland on Saturday. The note attached to Moorer’s tweet makes no mention of the recent reports, but the timing of Moorer’s announcement links him to the recent news.
Moorer committed to Maryland in April. He has one other Big Ten offer, Rutgers. The other Power 5 offers among his 13 total comes from Louisville and West Virginia.
Without Moorer, Maryland’s 2019 class is down to nine commitments. The 247Sports Composite ranks the class No. 14 in the Big Ten and No. 71 nationally.
