A three-star athlete from Pennsylvania has provided his verbal commitment to Mike Locksley and Maryland.

CJ Dippre announced his commitment to the Terrapins on Sunday, becoming the 13th player in the 2021 class to pledge. He picked Maryland over offers from 14 other programs, which included a handful of Power Five schools.

“Blessed and honored from all. Please respect and support my decision.” Dippre wrote on Twitter. “I am 100% committed to the University of Maryland. GO TERPS.”

Dippre is a native of Jermyn, Pennsylvania and is listed as a three-star athlete, per 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 19 player out of the state and is the No. 66 athlete in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Along with Maryland, Dippre received Power Five offers from Boston College, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse and Virginia. He also received interest from several Group of Five programs.

With the addition of the 6-foot-5, 245-pound Dippre, Maryland’s class ranks 13th nationally and fifth in the B1G. The Terrapins have added three members to its class since the start of May.
