It looks like Maryland is adding another transfer from Virginia Tech just days ahead of the season.

Head coach Mike Locksley has worked to add talent in various ways heading into his first year leading the Terrapins. One way he has added guys is through various transfers, including bringing in quarterback Josh Jackson and receiver Sean Savoy from the Hokies.

Now, it is being reported that Locksley is adding a third former Hokie to his Maryland squad. According to Ahmed Ghafir with Inside MD Sports, high school quarterback turned wide receiver Dejuan Ellis is joining the program.

Ellis is a Baltimore native who was recruited by the Terrapins as a defensive back in 2018. He redshirted at Virginia Tech last season, and Ellis’ eligibility status for 2019 is unclear, as is his future position at Maryland. Hopefully, Locksley can find the right spot for Ellis to maximize his talent.

Ellis tweeted out a photo from Maryland Wednesday afternoon with the caption “I’m home:”
