According to Simone Eli with CBS 42, Maryland has offered QB Tuli Tagovailoa. He is in the eighth grade and will be a member of the 2024 recruiting class. Tuli is also the first cousin of Tua and Taulia Tagovailoa. Both of the elder Tagovailoa’s play for Nick Saban at Alabama.

For what it’s worth, Locksley did serve as Alabama’s offensive coordinator in 2018 and co-OC in 2017, which means he has worked closely with Tua in the past. How that connects with Tuli’s recruitment is really unclear.
While it is a cool story to see Maryland offer a young player, a lot can change between now and 2024. For Locksley, he’ll likely need to improve on the 3-9 mark the Terrapins posted this season if he hopes to be around when Tuli gets ready to sign.
