It appears Maryland has reached a decision regarding the next head coach of the Terrapins.
The Terrapins had reached a decision on three finalists to replace DJ Durkin, according to a report from early Tuesday evening. Those three finalists were reportedly Michigan assistant Pep Hamilton, Alabama OC Mike Locksley, and Maryland OC/interim head coach Matt Canada.
According to a report from Brett McMurphy, the school is now set to hire Locksley away from Nick Saban’s staff. McMurphy also reported that the school will announce the hiring Thursday.

Locksley has been at Alabama since 2016 and served as the offensive coordinator for 2018. He served on Randy Edsall’s Maryland staff from 2012-15 and served as the interim head coach following Edsall’s firing in 2015. He previously served as an assistant at Maryland from 1997-2002.
