Maryland is in the mix for one of college basketball’s top transfers. Detroit transfer Antoine Davis is planning to visit the Terrapins, per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Davis, a Birmingham, Alabama native, played 4 seasons at Detroit. The NCAA’s COVID waiver for 2020-21 allows him to play another season of college basketball. He announced Thursday he would be entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Davis started all 29 games he played in Detroit’s 2021-22 campaign. This past season, he posted averages of 4.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 23.9 points on 42.9% field-goal shooting over 37 minutes per game. The 6-1, 165-pounder has posted similar career numbers of 4.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 24.6 points on 40.6% field-goal percentage over 37.3 minutes per game.
