Report: Tight end from Mike Locksley's first recruiting class enters transfer portal

Mike Locksley is in his first season as head coach.

However, he had his hand in recruiting some players to Maryland before taking over. One of them was tight end Tyler Devera.

According to a report, Devera’s name has been entered into the NCAA’s transfer portal:

Devera was considered a 3-star prospect coming out of Bergen Catholic High School in the Class of 2019 by 247Sports. Bergen Catholic, for those curious, is where current Rutgers interim coach Nunzio Campanile coached prior to his time with the Scarlet Knights — and Devera and Campanile won a title together.

Devera initially chose Maryland over Rutgers, Louisville, Colorado and UMass. He played against Syracuse for the Terrapins this season, but hasn’t appeared in a game since.
