Ryan Howerton is staying home. The standout lineman from Laurel, Maryland announced his college decision on Saturday.

Howerton will play for Mike Locksley’s Maryland program. He shared the big news on his Twitter account.

A standout at St. Vincent Pallotti, Howerton is listed as measuring 6-4, 295 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Howerton is rated 3-stars, the No. 18 recruit in the state of Maryland, No. 47 offensive tackle and No. 615 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024.

Maryland beat out West Virginia and Pittsburgh to land Howerton’s verbal pledge. Howerton visited all 3 schools in June.
