The Tagovailoa brothers are incredibly talented quarterbacks, but their relationship is a lot deeper than just football.

Over the weekend, Taulia and Tua Tagovailoa had very successful performances on the gridiron. For Taulia, he engineered a huge comeback for Maryland. It went down as his first win as the starter for the Terrapins and helped snap an eight-game losing streak for Maryland head coach Mike Locksley.

For Tua, he registered his first victory as an NFL starting quarterback with the Miami Dolphins. It came in his first career start after replacing veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick.

On Monday, Taulia sat down with BTN’s Rick Pizzo to discuss the relationship with his brother. It may come as a surprise to some people, but the conversations of the Tagovailoa usually center around topics not related to football:

“I think we talk about more stuff outside of football more than we do about football,” said Taulia. “Every time I talk to Tua, it’s either he learned a new song on the guitar or he learned a new Fortnite move or something different.

“I think, for me, that makes me level headed. It makes me appreciate everything else because with the football season you’re always busy thinking about football. So it eases my mind talking to them.”

The Tagovailoa’s will go for more wins this weekend. Taulia and Maryland travel to Happy Valley for a game against Penn State while Tua and the Miami Dolphins will face the Arizona Cardinals.
