One key duo for Maryland in 2021 will be starting quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and sophomore wide receiver Rakim Jarrett.

Both players came to Maryland in 2020, albeit via different routes. Tagovailoa joined the Terrapins as a transfer out of Alabama. Meanwhile, Jarrett committed to Maryland as a 5-star recruit and the No. 4 WR nationally for the class of 2020.

During his freshman season, Jarrett finished second on the team with 252 yards receiving. He also secured two touchdowns with a breakout 5-catch, 144-yard performance against Penn State.

With both players now entering their second season at Maryland, they will need to be even better if the offense is to take a step forward. Fortunately, they look good in fall camp, as seen in a video shared by Maryland’s Twitter account.

The first test for the duo will be on Sept. 4 against West Virginia.
