Tagovailoa exited the Michigan game Saturday with a rib injury, but later returned. He was later listed as a “game-time decision” for Saturday’s upcoming matchup with Michigan State. Tagovailoa has been one of the top QBs in the conference this season, throwing for over 100 yards while posting a 75.6 completion percentage.
Speaking to the media on Friday, the QB said he’s feeling ‘100%’, despite still being listed as a game-time decision for Saturday. Fielding questions about what the Spartans might have in store for Saturday, Tagovailoa stated that it wasn’t so much about what Michigan State does, but about how Maryland executes.
“It’s not really what they do, it’s more about what we do. I feel like our coaches put us in great positions with handling. Whether it’s the d-linemen, whether its the secondary, whether it’s me moving the pocket. We just need to do our assignment and execute it.”
Taulia Tagovailoa is a "game-day decision" vs. Michigan State on Saturday, according to Maryland head coach Mike Locksley.
