Terps losing cornerbacks coach to NFL
There’s a late opening on the Maryland staff.
On Thursday, Terrapins cornerbacks coach Cory Robinson tweeted out an image of himself wearing a New Orleans Saints shirt, along with the hashtag “Next Chapter.” He will be moving on from Maryland and joining Sean Payton’s staff in New Orleans.

At the time of the photo, there’s been no indication as to what Robinson’s role will be with the Saints. The move comes after spending one season on Locksley’s staff in College Park. In addition to serving as the CBs coach, Robinson was the defensive passing game coordinator.
Robinson was also at Maryland in 2015 as the team’s director of player personnel. He’s also had stops at Rutgers, Temple and Toledo between jobs with the Terps.
The departure leaves Locksley scrambling for a new cornerbacks coach late in the offseason.
