Maryland has finally found the end zone.

On Friday night, the Terrapins started the game by receiving the opening kickoff and turned the first possession of the contest against Minnesota into the squad’s first touchdown of the year. Better late than never, right?

Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa hit running back Jake Funk for an 8-yard pass that resulted in the score, giving the Terps an early 7-0 advantage. It capped an 11-play, 82-yard drive to start the contest.

Tagovailoa completed 5-of-6 pass attempts for 55 yards and rushed for an additional 25 yards on 2 carries. Funk had 3 carries for 12 yards and 1 reception for 8 yards.

Maryland is off to a much better start this week. Last week, the Terrapins fell 43-3 to Northwestern.
