Two for one: Maryland’s Rakim Jarrett scores for second time as Terps race out to hot start vs PSU

It didn’t take long for Rakim Jarrett to get his second career touchdown!

The speedy freshman opened up Maryland’s scoring early against Penn State. After catching a short slant, he simply outran the Nittany Lions defense all the way for the score.

Jarrett added to his score total soon after on an eerily similar play. Another short pitch-and-catch by Taulia Tagovailoa found Jarrett, and the defense was once again unable to catch up to the speedster.

That made it 14-0, Terrapins:

Maryland running back Jake Funk would also run one in from over 30 yards out to give Maryland an incredible 21-unanswered points to start the game. Penn State has since scored to make it 21-7, but it has been all Terps early:
