New week, same Ty Johnson.

The Maryland running back is becoming notorious for his big plays and long touchdown runs. He had another on Saturday against Indiana.

Late in the first quarter, Johnson got to the edge and trekked down the sideline 66 yards to the end zone. The most impressive part? Breaking a tackle along the sideline without breaking stride:

Johnson has more plays of 40-plus yards than any other player in the B1G, recording six through the first seven games. This was his seventh. It was his third play that went for 60 or more yards.

The sophomore also leads the conference in average yards per carry with a 10.26 mark heading into the game against Indiana. He averaged 12.8 yards per carry last week against Michigan State and 29.1 against Purdue.

The run against Indiana was Johnson’s fourth rushing TD of the year.
