WATCH: DJ Turner returns punt for touchdown in Maryland's first-half rout of Howard
Maryland scored five touchdowns on offense during the first 17 minutes against Howard on Saturday. As if the game wasn’t already a rout, then the Terrapins special teams joined the fun with senior wide receiver DJ Turner taking a punt back 40 yards for a touchdown.

Turner had two punt returns in the first half against Howard, returning the other one 12 yards. He also had a 12-yard reception.
Maryland is certainly off to a fast start under new coach Michael Locksley. The Terrapins scored seven touchdowns on their first 10 offensive possessions and the one score on special teams in the first half. Junior quarterback Josh Jackson threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns. Seven different players have scored touchdowns for the Terrapins.
Maryland leads Howard at halftime, 56-0.
