WATCH: Head coach Mike Locksley tells Maryland basketball crowd it's great to be home
Maryland is moving on under new head coach Mike Locksley.
It has been an understandably rough year for Maryland football. Former head coach DJ Durkin was suspended amid investigations into the program following the death of Jordan McNair. Durkin was later fired.
Serving as the acting head coach, Matt Canada led the team to a 5-7 record. Though not able to lead the team to a bowl appearance, Canada did a remarkable job guiding the team through a rough period.
Now, the team is headed forward with Locksley at the helm. He took time to address the crowd at a home Maryland basketball game Tuesday night, and he began by saying it feels great to be home.
