Javon Leake is having quite the afternoon.
His huge day started with a kickoff returned for a touchdown to give the Terrapins an early 7-3 lead in the game. It was his first special teams touchdown of the season and Maryland’s third touchdown on a kickoff return this year.
Later in the first half, Leake took a handoff, found a hole in the defense and burst through for a 64-yard touchdown run to give the Terps a comfortable lead early in the game. Talk about a breakout performance.

Entering Saturday’s game, Leake had just 66 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. But he might become a big-time option for the Terps moving forward.
He’s got the speed to break loose on any given play.
