WATCH: Maryland DB Darnell Savage Jr. makes perfect read, takes INT back for TD
Week 3 is here, Maryland fans.
And unfortunately, it hasn’t started pretty.
Maryland is hosting Temple on BTN and the Terrapins were in a 14-0 hole in the second quarter. That all changed, though, when the Owls QB Anthony Russo dropped back to pass and threw it to the wrong team.
Terrapins senior defensive back Darnell Savage Jr. read the route perfectly, jumping the pass and taking it to the house.
Take a look:
Well … it always seemed like it would have to be the defense that got things going.

The interception was needed, as it brought the score to 14-7. Since then, however, Temple ran in a TD to make it 21-7 going into halftime.
Maryland is 2-0 this season, while Temple is 0-2.
