A Maryland fan had an opportunity to show off his athleticism at one of the greatest sports venues in America. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned.
Saturday afternoon, Illinois and Maryland went head to head in a B1G clash at Madison Square Garden. During one of the first half breaks, a few fans took part in the dizzy bat drill.
That led to a pretty embarrassing moment for one Terps fan. He tried to stay on his feet after the drill, but tumbled hard to the floor.
There have been many iconic feats of athleticism at @TheGarden…This isn't one of them.

It’s bad enough that he lost his balance and fell to the ground, but doing it at Madison Square Garden in front of a large crowd just makes things worse.
The fan seemed to have a smile on his face, so he appeared to take the embarrassment with a laugh, which is always good.
He just may be a little more hesitant to participate in any more dizzy bat events in the future.
