Maryland (2-1) running back Anthony McFarland found the end zone for the first time in his young collegiate career by way of a 26-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter against Minnesota (3-0) on Saturday afternoon:

McFarland, a redshirt freshman and former four-star prospect, is one of many explosive options the Terrapins have in what’s proven to be a loaded backfield. He entered today’s game with 235 total yards off just 24 touches (9.8 ypt) following last week’s 107-yard rushing performance in a 35-14 loss to Temple.

The Terps own a 14-3 lead early in the second quarter of their Big Ten opener against a Minnesota team that has outscored its opponents 95-27 through the first three weeks of the season.
