Well, that didn’t take long.
No. 10 Ohio State could be looking ahead, but coach Urban Meyer won’t give any excuses. Maryland received the opening kickoff and RB Anthony McFarland ran for a loss of a yard to start the game.
On the next play, however, he scampered 81 yards for a TD.
Again, Meyer can’t be pleased:

Directly after the 81-yard TD run to give the Terrapins a 7-0 lead, the team also recovered a long, onside kick. Meyer had to be irate at this point.
On the very next play, however, Maryland turned it over with a fumble on what looked to be a trick play trying to run a reverse and then throwing it back to the QB. Ohio State then took over with its offense and Meyer can probably at least breathe, now.
