WATCH: Temple punter shanks 7-yard punt, Maryland fails to capitalize
The Temple Owls were able to upset the No. 21 Maryland Terrapins, 20-17, on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Scoring only two points in the fourth quarter – an intentional safety by Temple as time expired – Maryland had a prime opportunity to put some more tallies on the board with 3:15 remaining.

Temple punter, sophomore Adam Barry, shanked a punt while kicking out of his own end zone. Marked out of bounds at the 10-yard line, the punt only netted seven-yards.

Riding the arm of redshirt junior Anthony Russo, the Owls outgained Maryland, 427-340.
Exploding to the tune of 142 points in their first two games, Maryland averaged just four yards per play, compared to Temple’s 5.6.
The Terrapins will have extra time to ponder this loss, the team is next in action on Friday, September 27 vs. Penn State (8:00PM ET, FS1).
