Michigan vs. Penn State

While Michigan and Penn State now square off every season as divisional foes in the Big Ten East, the teams did not play each other prior to Penn State joining the Big Ten in 1993. The first Michigan vs. Penn State game took place in 1993 when Michigan knocked off Penn State by a score of 21-13.

Another notable meeting in the rivalry took place in 1997 when Michigan came in as the no. 4 team in the country squaring off against the no. 2 Penn State Nittany Lions. This game set an attendance record at Beaver Stadium, but the record crowd would not be satisfied as Michigan crushed Penn State by a score of 34-8.
