Michigan beat out the likes of LSU, Nebraska, Oregon and several others for the commitment of four-star wide receiver Cristian Dixon. The California native made his decision on Thursday morning.

Dixon, who is listed as a four-star wide receiver according to 247Sports, held 19 offers on the recruiting front. He received an offer from Michigan in January and has made a decision to commit to the Wolverines five months later.

A video was posted on Twitter to make the announcement. Dixon became the 19th player in the 2021 recruiting class to commit to Michigan.

Dixon is listed as a 6-foot-2, 187-pound wide receiver out of Santa Ana, California. Per his evaluation on 247Sports, he’s a great downfield threat and is a matchup nightmare for defensive backs. His frame and athleticism should allow him to make an impact early in his career with the Wolverines.

Last season at Mater Dei, Dixon totaled 35 receptions for 611 yards and six touchdowns. In 2018 at Diamond Ranch High School, Dixon caught 42 passes for 862 yards and nine touchdowns.

247Sports has Dixon ranked as the No. 38 wide receiver in the 2021 class. Overall, he ranks No. 210 nationally.

Michigan’s 2021 recruiting class currently ranks second in the B1G and is now sixth nationally.
