After Opening Weekend in college baseball, Michigan climbs atop Top 25 rankings
It didn’t take long for Michigan to take over the top spot in college baseball.
On Monday, Baseball America released its latest top 25 rankings and Michigan sat in the No. 1 spot. The Wolverines went 3-1 after the first weekend of the season. They have never been ranked as the top team in the country in the 40-year history of the Baseball America rankings.
Michigan is the only B1G team listed in the latest poll.
The Wolverines opened the 2020 baseball season in the MLB4 Collegiate Baseball Tournament. They defeated No. 2 Vanderbilt 4-3 in the first game of the year, and defeated Cal Poly 8-5. Michigan also defeated No. 9 Arizona State 5-0 before falling to UConn 7-1.
