Aidan Hutchinson will try and capture the Heisman Trophy on Saturday after a 14-sack season for the No. 2 team in the nation. As he awaits the announcement of that prestigious trophy, other accolades continue to pour in for the pass rusher.

On Friday, the Chicago Tribune officially announced Hutchinson as the recipient of the 2021 Chicago Tribune Silver Football. The award is given annually to the MVP of the B1G – regardless of position – and is voted on by the coaches of the B1G.

Hutchinson led all vote-getters with 7 first-place votes from coaches. According to criteria, coaches vote for a first- and second-place finisher and are not allowed to vote for their own players.

Hutchinson has already captured a number of individual honors, including the Rotary Lombardi Award, the B1G Defensive Player of the Year, and the B1G Defensive Lineman of the Year. Will a Heisman Trophy be added to his personal collection?
