Aidan Hutchinson is making a splash in his rookie debut season in the NFL.

On Thursday, the NFL named the former Michigan DL Defensive Rookie of the Month. The league announced the pick on Twitter, along with the Offensive Rookie of the Month title that went to Green Bay’s Christian Watson.

A 4-year starter at Michigan, Hutchinson played in all 13 games of his freshman and sophomore year before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 3 of his junior year. However, Hutchinson wasn’t done in Ann Arbor, finishing as a runner-up in the 2021 Heisman Award vote while also setting a school record for sacks in a season in his senior year. Hutchinson also won the Ted Hendricks and Lombardi Awards before heading to the NFL in 2021.

Hutchinson and the Lions will be back in action Sunday against the Jaguars.
