Aidan Hutchinson’s weigh-in at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine might result in some concerns for teams considering taking the former Michigan defensive end.

Hutchinson’s arm length was measured at 32 1/8 inches this week. While that may not seem like a big deal to most of us, it could be a concern for some teams in the NFL, especially when the defensive end goes up against some of the long-armed offensive linemen in the league.

Clearly, Hutchinson’s arm length wasn’t a concern last season at Michigan. He proved to be one of the top defensive players in the sport in 2021, earning a trip to the Heisman Trophy ceremony as a finalist.

Last season, Hutchinson collected a B1G-best 14 sacks during a 12-2 campaign at Michigan. He was also responsible for 62 tackles, 12 quarterback hurries, 3 pass break-ups and 2 forced fumbles.

Many believe Hutchinson will be selected with one of the Top 2 picks in this year’s NFL Draft. Could that change because of his measurements?

“There might be questions about that,” Hutchinson said, per The Detroit News. “I guess we’ll see, but I’m not too worried about it. I’m very confident in my ability despite how long I am or whatever you say. So it doesn’t really matter to me.”
