Alex Storako is leaving Michigan after 4 seasons with the Wolverines.
Storako has been one of the leading pitchers for Michigan softball over the past 4 seasons. During the 2022 campaign, she made 38 appearances (29 starts) with a 1.71 ERA.
Storako was one of the most consistent pitchers this past season while helping lead Michigan to the NCAA Tournament. She finished 11th nationally in innings pitched (200.1), 6th in total strikeouts (300) and 11th in strikeouts per 7 innings (10.5).
On Monday, Storako announced she would be pursuing her master’s degree while joining defending national champion Oklahoma:
Excited to announce that I will be pursuing my Master’s degree and playing softball at the University of Oklahoma❤️

It is tough to overstate Storako’s importance to Michigan’s program in recent history. From 2019-22, she made 121 appearances (86 starts) with a 69-20 record and 1.71 ERA and 901 strikeouts. The Wolverines made the NCAA Tournament each year of Storako’s career with the exception of the canceled 2020 tournament due to COVID.
Best of luck as she looks to compete at her new destination.
