Another Michigan defensive player has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

On Saturday, Michigan defensive back Vincent Gray announced his decision to declare for the 2022 NFL Draft per Instagram. He joins several other Wolverines to make the decision, including Aidan Hutchinson, David Ojabo, Chris Hinton, Dax Hill and Josh Ross.

Gray finished the 2021 season playing a big role in Michigan’s defense. He totaled 46 tackles, including 3.5 for loss. He also broke up 8 passes and forced a fumble during the Wolverines’ 12-2 campaign.

Over the past 3 seasons, Gray has been a significant contributor. He’s piled up 91 stops and 16 pass break-ups. He’s had major success in Michigan’s secondary and is looking to turn that into an NFL career.

Michigan’s defense proved to be one of the best in the B1G during the 2021 season, a big reason why the Wolverines were able to knock off Ohio State and take home a conference championship.

With Gray becoming the latest to declare for the NFL Draft, Michigan will have plenty to replace on the defensive side of the football entering the 2022 season.
