Ben Roethlisberger did not hold back with his assessment of Tom Brady’s performance in Week 6.

Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Roethlisberger’s former team, on Sunday. The Buccaneers came up short in the 20-18 loss to the Steelers.

It was an underwhelming performance for Brady and the Buccaneers received widespread criticism for losing the game. Roethlisberger, who now hosts a podcast, gave his thoughts on what he saw from Brady’s Week 6 outing (Via Pro Football Talk):

“Tom is the greatest. The Super Bowl rings show it,” Roethlisberger said. “It didn’t look like he wanted to be out there. Maybe it was the pressure and he was getting hit and whatever was going on.”

Roethlisberger recognized Brady’s illustrious career, but he was not pleased with what he saw from Brady. He did not believe that Brady was enjoying playing in the game:

“There’s no way he’s enjoying this. No way,” Roethlisberger said. “I was enjoying being up there watching the game. It just didn’t look fun, to him.”

Brady finished the game with a 62.5 completion percentage, 243 passing yards, and 1 touchdown. At 45 years old, this could be Brady’s final season in the NFL. Roethlisberger did not see the same version of Brady that he was used to.
