Michigan may have just received a big boost on the defensive side of the ball for Friday’s Orange Bowl vs. Georgia.

For much of the week leading up to game time, defensive back Dax Hill was not in Florida with the team. On Thursday, head coach Jim Harbaugh was very noncommital about Hill’s status while also playing coy about the reasoning for Hill’s absence.

Fortunately for the Wolverines, Hill is in Florida on Friday and is with the team for warmups. Whether or not he suits up and is able to play remains to be seen since there has not been an official announcement on his status.

Either way, it is definitely a good sign that he is finally with the team for the Orange Bowl. That would appear to indicate he will be able to play vs. the Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff semifinal. Stay tuned to find out.
