Blake Corum has been on fire this season and added to his accolades according to PFF. He now leads Power 5 schools in another rushing statistic.
Corum now has 11 rushes of at least 20 yards or more for Michigan. One of Corum’s touchdowns against Penn State was a 67 yard-run, and added to his total. He finished the game with 166 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Michigan blew out Penn State 41-17 at home to remain without a loss in 2022. Corum is slowly making his case to be considered for the Heisman Trophy with each week. He currently leads the Wolverines in yards rushing with 901 on the year.
The last time that a player won the Heisman Trophy from Michigan was Charles Woodson in 1997. If Corum keeps playing the way that he is, he might end up as a finalist when everything is all said and done.
Michigan has its annual rivalry game with Michigan next following a bye in Week 8. Corum will have a chance to hit 1,000 yards rushing on the season against the Spartans.
