Blake Corum has long established his status as a Michigan legend. On Monday, he added another chapter — and program record — to his tally.

Throughout the Rose Bowl matchup with Alabama, Corum was leaned on time and time again. He delivered an early touchdown for the W0lverines in the passing attack and added a rushing touchdown in the biggest of moments.

With the game tied in overtime, Corum delivered a beautiful touchdown run complete with a gorgeous cut to the outside and hard running through the defense. That touchdown would hold up as a game-winner to send Michigan through to the College Football Playoff National Championship.

That touchdown also carries some historical significance with it. It goes down as Corum’s 56th rushing touchdown of his career in Ann Arbor, breaking a tie with Anthony Thomas for the most rushing touchdowns in program history. Corum had already set the single-season record for rushing touchdowns, pushing that record to 25 in the 2023 season.

JJ McCarthy heated up in crunch time, but Corum led the Wolverines with 83 rushing yards and 4.4 yards per carry in the win. He also had 35 receiving yards and a touchdown in the passing game in the big-time win.

Now, we’ll see if Corum can deliver any other special moments in Houston.
