Blake Corum wants the Paul Bunyan Trophy, that’s all. It doesn’t have to be pretty, it’s just win at any cost for him, Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News reports.

Corum, when asked about “bulletin board material” ahead of Michigan’s matchup with Michigan State, said that he’s throwing that out the window and is “just ready to win.”

Despite the Spartan’s 3-4 record, they have still been active in talking up the matchup. Besides, this rivalry is more than just another game on the schedule. There’s pride on the line for both teams as in-state foes.

For Michigan, there is also a chance to continue College Playoff hopes. For Michigan State, there is a chance to leave all of the struggles of this season behind.

As for Corum, he doesn’t need any more motivation than he already has. He is a proven competitor, and his performance this season has shown that.

As the featured back in the Wolverine offense, he has approached every game the same: with dominance. Corum is ready to do what he can to ensure a win for his team.
